QUARTER-FINALS

10:00am NTU Tempest vs United World College  5 - 0 (walkover) (LQF1)
United World College conceded a walkover yet again this season.  Having already conceded walkovers in their final 2 league matches of the season, this fresh walkover makes us wonder whether UWC stands for Undeniable Walkover Champions.  NTU Tempest advance to the semi-finals to meet Moosettesz without having hit a ball yet in this year's Cup.

12:00nn
Moosettesz  vs Pasirian Floorball Ladies 12 - 0 (LQF2)
Moosettesz rolled into the semi-finals with an easy 12-0 win over Pasirian Floorball Ladies.  PFL had several chances to score but could not nail that consolation goal.  Moosettesz will meet NTU Tempest in the semi-finals.

2:00pm
NUS Jupitans vs Motorola Pink Flamingoes 2 - 1 (LQF3)
NUS Jupitans dominated the match but could not add more than the 2 goals they scored.  In the end, Jupitans had to hang on as the Pink Flamingoes scored one and threatened to take the tie to a penalty shootout.  Jupitans will now meet MS OSB Owls in the semi-finals.

4:00pm   MS OSB Owls vs NUS Titans 13 - 2 (LQF4)
MS OSB Owls steamrolled to a surprisingly easy 13-2 win over NUS Titans.  Swiss import Angela Model marked her stamp on the match by controlling the match, scoring 4 goals and adding several assists.  NUS Titans seemed shellshocked by the quick passing game of the Owls and were down 4-0 by the end of the 1st period.  There was no turning back and MS OSB Owls will now take on the NUS sister team, NUS Jupitans, in the semi-finals.

10:00am SC Red Flamingoes vs MS Floorball   6 - 1 (MQF1)
MS Floorball took to the courts with only 7 field players against the defending champions SC Red Flamingoes.  They managed to hold out for a long period through stout defending from their overworked players, but 2 late goals in the first period effectively ended MS Floorball's hopes of another upset victory to follow last week's win over Tazsilian Piranha.  Their cause was not helped by two goals off the shoe of Mak Mun Fai, but he did get the consolation goal for MS Floorball.  SC Red Flamingoes advance to face NUS Nemesis in the semi-finals.

12:00nn NUS Nemesis vs MS Innebandy   6 - 3  (MQF2)
When NUS Nemesis won the Floorball Cup in 2003, they had a line of imports which scored many goals.  This year, they again have an effective scoring line of imports.  MS Innebandy took an early lead, but NUS Nemesis soon equalised.  A second MS Innebandy goal was equalised again, and so was a third.  The third equaliser came as a result of more aggressive play from NUS Nemesis, which was met by the same from MS Innebandy.  Only problem was MS Innebandy overstepped the boundary and were penalised 2 minutes time and again.  This proved to be the collapse of MS Innebandy as NUS Nemesis made good use of their power play to score and ultimately win 6-3.  They will now meet SC Red Flamingoes in the semi-finals.

2:00pm    Moosemen vs NUS Saints  5 - 1 (MQF3)
This match proved to be Leroy Brown show.  Brown had a quick hattrick of goals inside the first period, and added a fourth for good measure in the second period.  Moosemen, in their new black outfit, were clearly the better side.  Next up in the semi-finals, they will come face to face with the Quek brothers, who previously played  with Moosemen.

4:00pm
Nhac Tre No1 vs Genesis ITE  1 - 6  (MQF4)
The SFL2005 Division 1 Champions were knocked out of the Cup by Division 2 team Genesis ITE.  Missing key players in SFL2005 top scorer Kristian Olsson (broken leg) and influential captain Niclas Erlandson, Nhac Tre No.1 were unable to muster up enough firepower to threaten the Genesis ITE goal in the way they did during the league.  Genesis ITE, with the Quek brothers in full flow, were able to put away their chances to set up a tantalising meeting with Moosemen in the semi-finals.
