| Sat, 15 Jan 05 NUS Nemesis vs Millennia Skools Innebandy (NUS, 4pm) Both teams had narrow results over the opening weekend of matches. While MS Innebandy narrowly beat the other NUS team, NUS Saints by 5-4, NUS Nemesis did creditably by restricting defending champions Swiss Club Red Flamingoes to a 3-2 victory. MS Innebandy missed the services of its national goalkeeper M Rajiv, who is presently doing his national service BMT. Any further absence from this match against the stronger NUS team could have a telling effect. Tazsilian Piranha vs NTU Hurricanes (NTU, 4pm) After succumbing to a 1-24 defeat to Nhac Tre No.1 last week, NTU Hurricanes will be itching to regain its battered pride with a good result against Tazsilian Piranha. The Piranhas had a good result over last year's runner-up Millennia Skools Floorball with a 6-3 win, with Jatin Nair impressing as the dangerman. RP Adroits vs NTU Tempest (NTU, 2pm) NTU Tempest got off to a good start by beating NUS Jupitans 2-1 last week, while RP Adroits had a miserable debut with a 1-9 defeat to fellow newbies Singapore Management University. NTU Tempest, with their greater experience should be able to register a second successive victory. United World College vs NUS Jupitans (UWC, 2pm) UWC had a nightmare opening last week as they lost their debut match to NUS Titans 2-19. UWC now come up against the other NUS team, NUS Jupitans. NUS Jupitans, having reached the semi-finals last year, will be keen to get back on track with a victory, after last week's 1-2 defeat to NTU Tempest. They should be able to achieve this objective. |

| Sun, 16 Jan 05 Pasirian Floorball vs Millennia Skools Floorball (MI, 4pm) Both teams had opening day defeats. Pasirian Floorball lost to Moosemen 0-9, while MS Floorball lost 3-6 to Tazsilian Piranha. MS Floorball have the more experienced players, while the young Pasirian Floorball team of mainly 14 and 15 year olds still have a lot to learn in their debut season in Division 1. They however possess potentially the better flair, but could be outwitted by experience and size. Millennia Skools OSB vs Moosemen (MI, 6pm) Both teams kept clean sheets in huge victories last week. MS OSB impressively beat Tazsilian Arowana, while Moosemen had a well-deserved 9-0 victory over Pasirian Floorball. MS OSB captain Muhd Shahmeer will meet his team mates from last year, and will provide the biggest danger to Moosemen. However, Moosemen are the favourites to take this match. NUS Saints vs Nhac Tre No.1 (NUS, 2pm) The emphatic 24-1 win by Nhac Tre No.1 over NTU Hurricanes must have left quite a few team shuddering at the prospect of meeting them. It is NUS Saints who have this unenviable honour this week. NUS Saints tried to make a dramatic late comeback last week to MS Innebandy with 2 late goals, but still lost 4-5. It seems an uphill task for them to avoid defeat against the rampant Nhac Tre No.1. Tazsilian Arowana vs Swiss Club Red Flamingoes (TSH, 6pm) Swiss Club Red Flamingoes will aim to pile on the goals this week after a relatively disappointing start last week in their 3-2 win over NUS Nemesis. The termite-infested Tazsilian Arowana will face a daunting task against the defending champions, and will hope that any defeat will be less than the 0-6 hammering they received from MS OSB last week. With a potent strikeforce facing them, this prospect looks weak. Millennia Skools Floorball Youth vs Moosettesz (MI, 10am) MS Floorball Youth managed 6 goals last week, with several last-gasp goals forcing a 6-6 draw with FC Squirrettes, featuring several Malaysian national players. Scoring 6 goals is already one goal more than what they scored the whole of last season. They will find it hard-pressed to add another one in this match as Moosettesz should add to their 7-2 victory last week over Swiss Club Pink Flamingoes. FC Squirrettes vs Millennia Skools OSB Owls (MI, 12nn) FC Squirrettes have a huge dependency on its Malaysian national team line. How they fare in this match will depend on whether their other lines can hold out against MS OSB Owls, who had a 10-3 win over debutant team Pasirian Floorball Ladies last week. Pasirian Floorball Ladies vs Singapore Management University (MI, 2pm) SMU had a high-scoring 9-1 win over RP Adroits last week, while Pasirian Floorball Ladies succumbed 3-10 to MS OSB Owls. SMU should continue their winning ways against their younger and smaller-sized opponents. Swiss Club Pink Flamingoes vs NUS Titans (NUS, 4pm) NUS Titans had a huge 19-2 opening day victory over UWC. They face a sterner test this week against Swiss Club Pink Flamingoes, who lost 2-7 to Moosettesz last week. This should be a close match, but NUS Titans should prevail with their greater experience. |
