| Sat, 12 Mar 05 Swiss Club Red Flamingoes vs NTU Hurricanes (NTU, 4pm) NTU Hurricanes managed a good win last week over Pasirian Floorball with a sound defensive display. It came to nought as they were still confirmed to fight in the relegation play-off due to other results. This week will bring no joy either as they take on Swiss Club Red Flamingoes, who had a narrow 6-5 win over MS OSB last week without key players Filip Dahlgren and Jesper Strom. The Flamingoes should soar to another victory. Moosettesz vs NTU Tempest (NTU, 2pm) Moosettesz should be able to take this match but will have to work hard for it. With NTU Tempest's only rivals for the Western Conference crown, MS OSB Owls expected to pile on the goals in Sunday's match against UWC, it sets the stage for an exciting last match next Saturday when both teams meet to decide the Conference's top dog. Swiss Club Pink Flamingoes vs FC Squirrettes (TSH, 2pm) This postponed match will decide the last available spot for the quarter-finals from the Western Conference. FC Squirrettes need to win to have any chance for that spot, while the Pink Flamingoes only need to draw the match. With Pink Flamingoes having an easier final run-in, it will still be an uphill task for FC Squirrettes even if they do win, as they will have to follow up with good results against the 2 NUS teams on Sunday and on next Saturday. |

| Sun, 13 Mar 05 Pasirian Floorball vs NUS Nemesis (TSH, 10am) Pasirian Floorball threw away a good chance to clinch a quarter-final play-off spot last week when they crashed to a 2-3 defeat to NTU Hurricanes despite dominating most of the chances. They will now need to pip their opponents Tazsilian Arowana next week in the decider. Pasirian Floorball are not expected to get any points from NUS Nemesis. Tazsilian Arowana will take on brother team Tazsilian Piranha, who are vying for a play-off position and cannot afford to drop points. If both teams lose this week, Pasirian Floorball will only need a draw next week to qualify on goal difference, assuming that NUS Saints are out of the picture (unless they can upset both Moosemen and Swiss Club Red Flamingoes in their final 2 matches). NUS Saints vs Moosemen (TSH, 4pm) Moosemen should be able to clinch the Western Conference title this week as they take on NUS Saints. A win will move them to 24 points, and with MS OSB, as the only other team in the Conference who can reach 24 points, taking on a tough Nhac Tre No.1, the title should be Moosemen's. NUS Saints will need to prepare for the relegation play-off, and hope that they do not get hammered in their last 2 matches, and also the finale between Pasirian Floorball and Tazsilian Arowana does not end in a draw. This would allow them to take the 5th position and play-off against NTU Hurricanes rather than the strong 5th team from the Western Conference. Taszilian Arowana vs Tazsilian Piranha (TSH, 6pm) During this Pisces month, the 2 "Fish" teams fight it out. Both Tazsilian teams need points to qualify for the quarter-final play-offs. Piranha have a difficult last match against NUS Nemesis. A win in this match will ensure they qualify for the quarter-final play-off, while anything less than that will make it a very difficult match against the more experienced NUS Nemesis team. Meanwhile, Arowana will have to win next week's decider against Pasirian Floorball. They can afford a draw if they manage to get a point off Piranha. Nhac Tre No.1 vs Millennia Skools OSB (MI, 12nn) MS OSB will probably look at next week's finale against MS Innebandy as the decider. They will give Nhac Tre No.1 a good fight, but unless Nhac Tre No.1 are not at full strength, Nhac Tre No.1 should edge this one and force Swiss Club Red Flamingoes to keep on winning to maintain the 3-point margin, especially since Nhac Tre No.1 have the better goal difference. Millennia Skools Floorball vs Millennia Skools Innebandy (MI, 2pm) MS Floorball appear to have nothing much to play for in this match other than local pride, since they will finish in 3rd place in the Conference no matter what. MS Innebandy however need the points to qualify for the quarter-final play-offs. They will also want to take revenge for last year's shock quarter-final play-off exit to MS Floorball in a penalty shootout after leading by 3 goals. NUS Jupitans vs FC Squirrettes (TSH, 12nn) NUS Jupitans should be able to keep on track for the runners-up position in the Eastern Conference. They will however face the unwanted prospect of meeting NUS Titans in the quarter-final play-off, as it will definitely eliminate one NUS team. FC Squirrettes will be playing their second game in less than 24 hours. A win in this match for the Squirrettes will be crucial, especially if it is a follow-up to a win over Swiss Club Pink Flamingoes on Saturday. A loss against the Flamingoes would render this match inconsequential for the Squirrettes. Singapore Management University vs NUS Titans (TSH, 2pm) SMU could fall behind Millennia Skools Floorball Youth in the table if they fail to at least draw against NUS Titans. MS Youth will meet RP Adroits and should be able to beat them. If SMU lose badly to NUS Titans, they will fall behind MS Youth on goal difference. SMU will play NUS Jupitans, while MS Youth will take on Pasirian Floorball Ladies, and the results will decide the 4th play-off spot between MS Youth and SMU (probably on goal difference). Millennia Skools Floorball Youth vs RP Adroits (MI, 10am) MS Floorball Youth should be able to draw level on points with SMU after this match. With goal difference potentially crucial, MS Floorball Youth will have to pile on the goals to boost their goal difference. RP Adroits have nothing much to play for in this match in their debut learning season, but will have gained a lot of experience over the last few months to put them in better stead next year. Pasirian Floorball Ladies vs Swiss Club Pink Flamingoes (MI, 4pm) Pasirian Floorball Ladies should be able to bounce back from last week's 2-3 defeat to NTU Tempest with a win to confirm their top 3 Conference position in their debut season. It will also put them in ready motion to capitalise should NUS Jupitans fail to beat FC Squirrettes. United World College vs Millennia Skools OSB Owls (MI, 6pm) MS OSB Owls should be able to do their goal difference a power of good in this clash against UWC. With NTU Tempest facing a daunting task against Moosettesz, OSB Owls will aim to overturn the 10 goal advantage in goal difference by NTU Tempest, which will allow them to go for a draw next week to clinch the Western Conference title for their first ever major silverware. |
