LADIES

6pm   Moosettesz vs Millennia Skools OSB Owls
Moosettesz are the hot favourites to win the title, having already beaten the Owls 9-3 during the league phase.  That match was however closer than the scoreline suggested, at least for the first 2 periods and a few minutes of the 3rd period, with the Owls defence holding out strong.  It was 1-1 going into the 3rd period, and then Owls took a 2-1 lead monentarily.  That was as close to an upset that we would get, as Jill and Martha Quek then took over the show with 3 quick goals, including 2 from box play.  This shattered the Owls' confidence, and from then on, it was plain sailing for Moosettesz as they eventually triumphed 9-3.  The Owls will have to be mentally stronger this time around.  They must believe in themselves that they are capable of beating Moosettesz for them to stand any chance of creating an upset.  If they can bring the game to Moosettesz from the start and their defence hang on, an upset victory cannot be ruled out.

MEN

8pm    Nhac Tre No.1 vs Motorola Red Flamingoes
The much-awaited meeting of last year's 2 finalists earlier this season turned out to be an anti-climax, with key players from both sides missing from the match.  Nhac Tre No.1 eventually triumphed 7-6 over Motorola Red Flamingoes on the strength of a good 2nd period performance, but Flamingoes made a good attempt at a fightback which fell just short.  This time around, hopefully the stars will be back and at full fitness.  Flamingoes will hope that Filip Dahlgren is sufficiently recovered from the injury sustained during the semi-finals 2 weeks ago, while Nhac Tre No.1 will hope to welcome back key players Kristian Olsson and Niclas Erlandson.  It should be a very close and interesting match, with a promise of plenty of goals and action.
