SEMI-FINALS

Sun, 9 Apr 06

LADIES

2pm   Moosettesz vs NTU Tempest
Moosettesz may be favourites for this semi-final match, but their win over NTU Tempest in the League last month was not so much of a comfortable scoreline, with NTU Tempest scoring late goals to reduce it to a 5-3 win for Moosettesz.  If Tempest goalkeeper Widyawilis Selamat continues to perform heroics again, NTU Tempest may be able to cause an unlikely upset or, at the very least, make Moosettesz sweat for victory.
SFL2006 Result:  Moosettesz  5  NTU Tempest  3  (11 Mar 06)

4pm    Millennia Skools OSB Owls vs Motorola Pink Flamingoes
Millennia Skools OSB Owls' win over Motorola Pink Flamingoes was even closer, with the eventual scoreline a very close 4-3.  Flamingoes will be hoping that key player Angela Model is not available for this match, since she is the player that pulls the strings for the Owls.  Her absence in recent weeks meant that Owls were not able to open up the gaps in their opponents' defence as often as they would have liked.  Flamingoes will also be quietly confident of another upset victory this week after accounting for NUS Jupitans last week.
SFL2006 Result:  Millennia Skools OSB Owls  4  Motorola Pink Flamingoes  3  (8 Jan 06)

MEN

6pm    Nhac Tre No.1 vs NUS Nemesis
NUS Nemesis caused a major upset earlier this season with their emphatic 10-2 win over Nhac Tre No.1, which was one of only two losses suffered by Nhac Tre No.1 this season (the other loss was to MS Innebandy).  Nhac Tre now have a chance to avenge this defeat.  They now, of course, have the services of Kristian Olsson, Niclas Erlandson, Tero Weckman and Chau Lam to add to their firepower.  Nhac Tre scored an impressive win over Moosemen last week, with Malaysian international Tan Cheen Ming outstanding in scoring 3 goals.  NUS Nemesis scraped through in the penalty shootout against Merahan Knights, and will be hoping for better luck and finishing this week against a suspect Nhac Tre defence.
SFL2006 Result:  Nhac Tre No.1  2  NUS Nemesis  10  (15 Feb 06)

8pm    Genesis ITE vs Motorola Red Flamingoes
Genesis ITE eliminated the .Western Conference Champions Millennia Skools Innebandy last week, and now hope to eliminate Motorola Red Flamingoes, the only other team that managed to beat MS Innebandy.  With the medically-fit again Joseph Benjamin Cortes and suspended Mohd Rizal Razali reinforcing the strength of Genesis ITE this week, Motorola Red Flamingoes can look forward to a keenly-contested match with lots of excitement.  With the Queks now able to spread out their talent between the different lines and a dependable goalkeeper in between the posts, Genesis ITE will be hoping to outwit and outscore the Flamingoes.  It all points to a very high-scoring and evenly-contested match that could go either way.
SFL2006 Result:  Genesis ITE  3  Motorola Red Flamingoes  9  (12 Mar 06)
