LADIES

Moosettesz vs NTU Tempest  5-1 (1-0, 0-0, 4-1)
Moosettesz were held by NTU Tempest to a 1-0 lead going into the 3rd period, greatly missing key players Martha Quek and Karen Lu.  In the 3rd period, however, Jill Quek stepped up a gear and added 3 goals and an assist, with Chung Sue Lyn getting what proved to be the consolation goal for NTU Tempest.  Sonia Chia and Sonia Teo scored the other 2 Moosettesz goals.  NTU Tempest goalkeeper had a good game, making many saves, but defensive lapses by the Tempest defenders led to Moosettesz punishing Tempest with well-taken goals.

Millennia Skools OSB Owls  vs Motorola Pink Flamingoes  3-2 (0-0, 0-2, 3-0)
In the second semi-final between MS OSB Owls and Motorola Pink Flamingoes, the proceedings in the 1st period was a dreary affair with few clear chances or enterprising play. In the 2nd period however, Motorola Pink Flamingoes shocked MS OSB Owls with 2 goals from Maisarah Rahmat and Serene Tan, and looked to be heading for an upset victory.  MS OSB Owls had other ideas.  Waking up from their deep slumber, Owls managed to score an early goal in the 3rd period, and soon equalised.  With the match poised to go to a penalty shootout, a melee in the Flamingoes goalmouth led to Siti Melissa Hamid slamming in the loose ball for a hard-fought 3-2 win, and the right to play Moosettesz in a repeat of last season's Final on Sunday, 23 April 2006 at 6.00pm.

MEN

Nhac Tre No.1 vs NUS Nemesis 5-3 (2-1, 0-1, 3-1)
Nhac Tre No.1 quickly took the lead in the 1st Men's Semi-Final against NUS Nemesis, with captain Niclas Erlandson scoring after just 41 seconds.  NUS Nemesis were quick to reply with a goal from Sim How Chong after 1:39, but Nhac Tre were able to re-establish their lead with a long distance shot from Calvin Tan.  NUS Nemesis managed an equaliser in the 2nd period, and the 3rd period was then set for some exciting moments.  NUS Nemesis took a 3-2 lead with Kenneth Tan thumping in a goal, but this was soon equalised 2 minutes later by Robert Wehrli, and a further 8 seconds later, Tan Cheen Ming added another to put Nhac Tre into the lead again at 4-3.  Tan Cheen Ming rounded up the scoring with a late goal seconds from the end, to ensure Nhac Tre No.1's progress to the Final.

Genesis ITE vs Motorola Red Flamingoes 5-7 (2-1, 0-1, 3-5)
In the second semi-final, Genesis ITE took a surprise 1-0 lead through Mohd Rezzal Rahim off a defensive mix-up  before Motorola Red Flamingoes equalised through Joakim Strom.  Timothy Quek put Genesis ITE into the lead once again, and Genesis ITE entered the period break 2-1 up.  In the 2nd period, Matthew Quek of Genesis ITE was given a controversial 2-minute penalty for playing without one shoe which had come off.  During the bench penalty, Flamingoes took advantage by scoring the equaliser through Fredrik Dahl.  In the opening seconds of the 3rd period, which was littered with many bench penalties from both sides, Tan Yiru managed to force Genesis ITE goalkeeper Mohd Hamizyam Samion into conceding an own goal.  Alexander Tavs and Joakim Strom extended the lead to 5-2 with one goal each, before Benjamin Quek and then Md Hadi Hassan Basri set up an exciting finish by pulling 2 goals back to cut the lead to 5-4.  Joakim Strom completed his hattrick but Md Hadi Hassan Basri scored his second goal of the match to reduce the arrears again.  As the clock ticked down, Marc Swiss made the match safe for Flamingoes with a goal, and Motorola Red Flamingoes survived the final seconds, despite suffering further bench penalties.  Motorola Red Flamingoes will now have the chance to avenge last year's Final defeat to Nhac Tre No.1 when they play the Final on Sunday, 23 April 2006 at 8.00pm.  They will also hope that the 2 weeks leading up to the Final will be enough for key player Filip Dahlgren to recover from his injury which ruled him out for most of the semi-final clash.
