LADIES' DIVISION 1

FC SQUIRRETTES FC Squirrettes struggled last season and failed to make the play-offs.  With the possible threat of relegation this season, the Squirrettes will probably be fighting against relegation this season, especially since they will be playing without their Malaysian players this season.. KEY PLAYERS:  Norzana Mohd Yatim, Siti Nor Amilin

MILLENNIA SKOOLS FLOORBALL YOUTH Millennia Skools Floorball Youth had a good 2005 season, qualifying for the play-offs.  With some experienced players moving from MS OSB Owls and an injection of new players, MS Floorball Youth should be able to qualify again for the play-offs but could be hampered by a tough start to the season's fixtures, which could shatter their confidence. KEY PLAYERS:  Safinah Abdul Kader, Nanthini Amathalingam, Nurhuda Mohd Nor, Marilyn Goh, Louise Neo

MILLENNIA SKOOLS OSB OWLS Millennia Skools OSB Owls finished the year as Western Conference champions and runners-up in both the SFL2005 and Pesta Sukan.  In the Pesta Sukan , Owls demolished NUS Titans 13-2 and NUS Jupitans 11-0.  They are hot favourites for the Western Conference title but are still way behind Moosettesz as seen in 1-10 defeat in Pesta Sukan Final. KEY PLAYERS:  Noretta Jacob, Emily Koh, Siti Melissa Hamid, Angela Model, Debbie Poh, Serena Tiong, Wileen Ong, Ong Hui Hui, Nur Hazwani

MOOSETTESZ Moosettesz swept all before them last season, and there is no reason to believe that they won't do so again this season.  MS OSB Owls seem to be their biggest threat for the SFL2006 title, but they should win the Eastern Conference title with very little resistance. KEY PLAYERS:  Jill Quek, Martha Quek, Jamie Cheong, Karen Lu, Jasmine Giam, Wilna Tan, Seah Joo Yee

MOTOROLA PINK FLAMINGOES Motorola Pink Flamingoes should be able to strut their stuff and qualify for a play-off spot.  They are unlikely to pose a challenge to the Big 3 in the Eastern Conference. KEY PLAYERS:  Aslinda Mustafa, Maisarah Rahmat, Wong Lai Leng, Serene Tan, Vivien Ong

NTU STORM The new kid on the block, NTU Storm will replace SMU Foxes as the only new team in the Ladies Division this year, after defeating SIM Ladies 5-1 in the play-off.  Despite being their debut season, there is still a chance for them to squeeze into the play-offs. KEY PLAYERS:  Nor Hazwah Md Shah, Li Xueqiu

NTU TEMPEST NTU Tempest showed that it had matured as a team when they only finished behind Western Conference champions MS OSB Owls on goal difference.  With several established players in their line-up, NTU Tempest can be expected to mount a serious challenge yet again for the Western Conference title.  With a relatively easy opening schedule, it should be able to top the Western Conference in mid-February and let the other teams play catch-up.  Key encounter will be the clash with MS OSB Owls on 19 March, the second last weekend of the league phase. KEY PLAYERS:  Widyawilis Selamat, Lily Suriani Tan, Chung Sue Lyn, Lai Soak Kuan, Karen Chao

NUS JUPITANS NUS Jupitans did well last year to finish 2nd behind Moosettesz for the Eastern Conference title, and will find it easy to qualify for the play-offs this season with Pasirian Scheqaz their only serious threat for second spot. KEY PLAYERS:  Lin Bin Bin, Ang Shu Lei, Gillian Anne Lee, Sheryl Ong

PASIRIAN SCHEQAZ Pasirian Scheqaz, previously known as Pasirian Floorball Ladies, were one of the surprise teams from last season, qualifying comfortably for the play-offs in their debut season.  They should be able to build on that and achieve even more this season.  A good bet for a play-off spot. KEY PLAYERS: Toh Li Min, Siti Asliza, Nurhashedah Md Noh, Siti Rasyidah, Siti Zubaidah, Nasrina Mohd, , Ramizah Rosman, Suzannah Ghani

RP ADROITS RP Adroits had a learning experience in its debut season and towards the end of the season, were showing much improvement.  Whether this improvement carries over to the new season remains to be seen, but the team from Republic Polytechnic could perhaps challenge for one of the play-off spot. KEY PLAYERS:  Fish Pang Hui Min, Jasmine Teo, Goh Yee Tze

TAMPINES EAST TITANS Tampines East Titans, previously known as NUS Titans, had a disappointing early season in 2005 and only picked up the pace in the later half of the season.  However, judging from the 13-2 hiding at the hands of MS OSB Owls in the Pesta Sukan, it does not appear that they will pose much of a challenge for the Western Conference title this year. KEY PLAYERS:  Joaan Mok, Wong Bee Ting, Ng Shumin, Sharifah Taibah Alhabshie, Jessica Yeo, Goh Ser Khee

UNITED WORLD COLLEGE United World College finished the SFL2005 season with zero points, including 2 walkovers in the final 2 matches of the season, and a 38-0 hammering at the hands of MS OSB Owls.  Another walkover was conceded in the Pesta Sukan.  It will be interesting to see how many walkovers they will concede this season. KEY PLAYERS:  Any 6 players as long as it is enough to start the match
