TEAMS PREVIEW
LADIES' DIVISION 1
FC SQUIRRETTES: FC Squirrettes finished last season with 11 losses from 11 matches.  With 3 teams due for relegation at the end of this season, another similar season will be a disaster.  It will be a tough road ahead for them, but some good performances at the tail end of last season should give them some encouragement.
KEY PLAYERS: Nur Aidah Md Jahari, Siti Nur Isnani Rosli, Lisa Tan, Nur Aisah Jaffar, Nur Amalina Md Razid
LMFC2011: Moosettesz changed their name to LMFC2011 for the Pesta Sukan Cup last season.  They still won the Cup, but it's more than just a name change.  There are changes in the players as well as some players have left.  LMFC2011 will find it a challenge to maintain their dominance of the Singapore women's floorball scene, especially with challenges posed by 3 other main rivals - Tampines East Titans, Motorola Pink Flamingoes, and Skools OSB Owls.
KEY PLAYERS: Jill Quek, Martha Quek, Carmen Teo, Jasmine Giam, Jaime Cheong
MOTOROLA PINK FLAMINGOES: Motorola Pink Flamingoes will be major challengers this season.  They did extremely well to qualify for the Pesta Sukan Cup Final last season.  With the capture of key player Angela Model to strengthen its attack, the steadiness of Maisarah Rahmat in defence, and the impressive development of Rookie of the Year 2006, goalkeeper Sara Lim, the Flamingoes may well fly high this season.
KEY PLAYERS: Sara Lim, Angela Model, Maisarah Rahmat, Vivien Ong, Serene Tan, Azlinda Mustafa, Toh Li Min
NTU STORM: NTU Storm had a rough ride in their debut season last year, but did reasonably well.  With a host of  new players to enter the fray this season, It will be another season of learning.  It remains to be seen whether NTU Storm can weather the challenges and finish out of the bottom 3 to avoid relegation.
KEY PLAYERS: Esther Neo, Lim Jun Ling, Siti Azrefa Aziz
NTU TEMPEST: NTU Tempest had a storming start to last season, but faded in the second half of the league.  However, they reignited their season when they beat Tampines East Titans in the quarter-final play-offs and were only ousted in the semi-finals by Moosettesz when the defence gave way in the last period.  Defence again will be their key to a good season, as they traditionally do not score that many goals, but with star goalkeeper Widyawilis Selamat and dependable defender Lily Suriani Tan protecting the goal, they should be able to finish in the top 5.
KEY PLAYERS: Widyawilis Selamat, Lily Suriani Tan, Karen Chao, Chung Sue Lyn, Louise Khng, Lai Soak Kuan
NUS JUPITANS: Not much is known of who will continue to play for NUS Jupitans this season.  NUS Jupitans are mainly made up of NUS undergraduates, so some of the graduating batch may join sister team Tampines East Titans.  They should however retain quite a number of last season's players to do reasonably well this season.
KEY PLAYERS: Nuruljannah, Ng Yihui
PASIRIAN SCHEQAZ: Pasirian Scheqaz did very well last season, especially when the Malaysian players were playing.  Playing alongside them also gave the younger players good experience which should put them in good stead for the 2007 season.
KEY PLAYERS: Nurhashedah Md Nor,  Anita Teng
RP ADROITS: RP Adroits did not get the results they were hoping for last season.  This season may be another year of struggle unless the defence is improved.  With 3 teams to be relegated at the end of the season, RP Adroits will be hoping to avoid the dreaded drop.
KEY PLAYERS: Nathida Khajornjiraphan, Siti Rafidah Abdul Samad, Joey Aw, Sherilyn Ghui
SKOOLS OSB OWLS: The Owls had the best chance last year of upsetting Moosettesz, but eventually fell short.  With the loss of key playmakers Angela Model and Emily Koh, the Owls will have problems creating and scoring goals the way they did last season, especially against the stronger teams.  This was evident in the Pesta Sukan Cup last season.  They should be good however for a top 4 finish.
KEY PLAYERS: Serena Tiong, Debbie Poh, Wileen Ong, Siti Melissa Hamid, Ong Hui Hui
SKOOLS OSB YOUTH: OSB Youth did well in the second half of the season, after a horrendous start which saw them facing strong teams in the first 4 matches.  They managed to pick themselves up and qualify for the play-offs. This season should be a mid-table season for them, with several new players from last year gaining enough valuable experience to get them through this time around.
KEY PLAYERS: Baze Lee, Marilyn Goh, Nurhuda Md Nor, Nauthini Amathalingam, Sheryl Wee, Khairunuisa A Latiff
TAMPINES EAST TITANS: One of the strong favourites to give LMFC2011 a strong fight for the title, Tampines East Titans have been strengthened by the acquisition of Seah Joo Yee and Emily Koh to boost the attack, as well as goalkeeper Lin Bin Bin to stave off the goals.  This could be the year for the Titans.
KEY PLAYERS: Lin Bin Bin, Ng Shumin, Seah Joo Yee, Emily Koh, Wong Bee Ting, Joaan Mok, Gillian Anne Lee
UNITED WORLD COLLEGE: United World College are a mystery team, and last season again gave one of their famous mysterious no-shows by conceding a walkover to NTU Tempest.  They had some reasonably good matches last season, especially when top scorer Rebecca Gaughan was playing.  No news at present on whether she will play this season.  If she does not, it may boil down to relegation at the end of the season.
KEY PLAYERS: Rebecca Gaughan, Nazgol Adili, Remke van Wijingaarden
